Fabio Poian
Originally from Trieste, Italy, Fabio Poian is a London-based drummer and musical director. Some of the most famous artists he has played with include Izzy Bisu, Madeline The Person, Arturo Sandoval, Andrae Crouch, David Davis, Melissa Manchester and Clint Holmes, to name a few. He is also an MD for artists such as Nora, Crossley, Kitty Montague, Danny Wright and many more. In 2007 Fabio won the national final of the Under18 - Groove section of the Italian competition “Drummer of Tomorrow”, organized by Mapex in Bologna and hosted by Dom Famularo. In 2009, Fabio moved to the United States to further his career and study music performance at the Los Angeles Music Academy (now LA College of Music) under the guidance of world-class drummers such as Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Tony Inzalaco, Gary Ferguson, Aaron Serfaty and Richie Gajate Garcia. After five successful years living and working in the US, Fabio went on to play on numerous cruise ships, including 6 Star Liners, both as a sideman and as musical director, where he managed and played for theatre shows for the on-board cast and guest entertainers. In 2017 he then moved to London to continue his career in one of the world’s leading music hubs. He has been busy managing and performing with a variety of artists around the city and he is oftenon tour. Fabio is also very passionate about music production, having studied at the Garnish School of Sound in London and runs his own studio in London.
